Tetràpode

Posted in Lighting, Product design by marti morral on March 7, 2010

__ The origin of the Tetràpode springs from the idea of creating a lighting that is analogous to a natural element. It is a lamp holder “customized” to look lie an ant. Two aluminium wires create the form of the legs and the two arms imitate the leaves that these insects carry,. The leaves act as light shades that can be used in different colours. The fact that the light symbolizes an ant allows form the possibility that the lamp can change into table lamp or, as well, into a wall feature by curving the legs in order to hang it.
